Join the Rebellion

On Palm Sunday, we celebrate the arrival of the true King.

In this message from Matthew 21, we explore Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and what it means for our lives today. While the world says “no king,” Palm Sunday declares, “Here comes our King.” But Jesus does not ride in with political power, military force, or worldly spectacle. He comes in humility, on a donkey, on his way to the cross.

This sermon reflects on the timing of Jesus’ entry, the courage of obedient faith, and the kind of rebellion Jesus actually leads—a rebellion not against earthly governments, but against Satan, the world, and the flesh. Jesus comes to save, to set people free, and to stir up hearts and cities with the transforming power of his kingdom.

If you have been waiting, hesitating, or wondering whether now is the time to follow Jesus more fully, this message is for you.

In this sermon:

  • Matthew 21 and the meaning of Palm Sunday
  • Why Jesus rides in on a donkey
  • What “Hosanna” really means
  • The rebellion of the kingdom of God
  • Freedom from the devil, the world, and the flesh
  • Why Jesus is the King we have been looking for

Jesus is the one we need. Jesus is the one we have been looking for. And now is the time.
