Acts 9: From Enemy to Instrument

Play episode

In this Bible study on Acts 9, we walk through the dramatic conversion of Saul and the powerful truth that no one is too far gone for the grace of God. Saul was a violent enemy of the church, yet Jesus met him on the road to Damascus, stopped him in his tracks, and transformed his life forever. This chapter reminds us that Jesus still interrupts lives, saves the hardened, and calls unlikely people into his service.

We also explore several major themes in Acts 9: how Jesus so closely identifies with his church that to persecute believers is to persecute him; how God uses ordinary, faithful disciples like Ananias to accomplish extraordinary things; how your past does not disqualify you from ministry; and how following Jesus will always cost something, yet is always worth it. Along the way, this study highlights the role of the Holy Spirit, the meaning of Christian conversion, the call to obedience, and the unstoppable growth of the early church.

Acts 9 is a chapter of hope, calling, healing, humility, and mission. If you have ever wondered whether someone is beyond saving, whether God can use imperfect people, or what it means to truly follow Jesus, this study is for you.
