Anti-Life Ideologies and the Antichrist

In this post, I explored the idea of Donald Trump being considered an Antichrist figure. While there are some valid arguments linking his boastful rhetoric to characteristics associated with the Antichrist, one could argue that value systems that actively oppose reproduction align far more closely with the biblical depiction of the Antichrist than mere arrogance or self-exaltation.

Let’s explore.

God’s Design: The Multiplication and Flourishing of Life

God is against death. This is evident not only in the creation account which is teeming with life and God calls it “good”. It’s also evident through the fact that he instructs the humans NOT TO EAT of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil because if they do, they will die. The Implication: God does not wish for death.

Back to the beginning

From the very beginning, God’s will for humanity is clear: He loves and commands the generation and sustaining of life. In Genesis 1:28, He gives the first man and woman a foundational mandate sayin,“Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.”

This is not just a command—it is a divine blessing. God desires His creation to teem with life, particularly human life, which is made in His image (Genesis 1:26-27). Throughout the Old Testament, fruitfulness is a sign of God’s blessing, while barrenness, death, and lifelessness are associated with curses and judgment.

The Curse of Lifelessness

In contrast to the flourishing of life, Scripture often presents lifelessness as a sign of sin, rebellion, and divine judgment. After the fall, one of the central curses placed upon Eve directly affects human reproduction:

“I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children.” (Genesis 3:16)

The pain associated with childbirth is not a removal of the blessing of procreation but a reminder that human sin has introduced hardship into what was meant to be effortless and joyful.

With the pain of childbearing, the desert and barren lands are frequently used as symbols of divine judgment, where life is unable to thrive:

  • “I will make your land a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.” (Leviticus 26:33)
  • “The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus.” (Isaiah 35:1)

When God restores His people, the desert blossoms, reversing the curse of lifelessness and making it fertile again. The movement from desolation to abundance reflects God’s heart for life and multiplication.

Given this consistent biblical pattern, any value system that hinders or rejects the multiplication of life directly opposes God’s design. The enemy’s strategy has always been to attack life, whether through Pharaoh’s and Herod’s decrees to kill infants, or through ideologies and practices that prevent the natural flourishing of human life.

Modern Attacks on the Multiplication of Life

If God’s purposes involve the abundant reproduction and sustaining of human life, then any ideology or practice that seeks to hinder, discourage, or eliminate that multiplication is not aligned with His will. Today, we see several cultural movements that, whether knowingly or unknowingly, promote a form of lifelessness—that is, a direct opposition to God’s call to “be fruitful and multiply.”

1. Chemical Castration and Gender Reassignment Surgery

Modern medicine, rather than being used to heal and support life, is sometimes used to suppress or eliminate human reproduction. Gender reassignment surgeries and hormone therapies such as chemical castration render individuals incapable of biological reproduction. This aligns with the Satanic desire to prevent life rather than with God’s purpose for bodies that were designed to be fruitful.

Jesus reaffirms God’s created order for men and women in Matthew 19:4-6, pointing back to Genesis saying, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female?”

The attempt to deny or alter God’s biological design is, at its core, an attempt to undo His blessing of life and fruitfulness.

2. Radical Feminism and the Rejection of Motherhood

While the biblical vision of womanhood exalts both motherhood and the indispensable role of women in the family and society, radical feminist ideologies often portray marriage, motherhood, and family life as oppressive. This mindset discourages women from embracing the very thing that God calls a blessing:

  • Psalm 127:3-5 – “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”
  • 1 Timothy 2:15 – “Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.”

While this does not mean women are only valuable for childbearing, it does affirm that bearing and raising children is central to God’s purpose for humanity. When a culture glorifies a lifestyle that delays, diminishes, or outright rejectsthe family, it is participating in the enemy’s agenda of sterility.

3. Homosexuality and the Denial of Reproduction

Homosexual relationships, by their very nature, are biologically incapable of fulfilling God’s command to “be fruitful and multiply.” While all people are made in God’s image and should be treated with dignity, Scripture clearly affirms that marriage is designed to be between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Romans 1:26-27).

Furthermore, Paul explicitly links homosexual practice with a rejection of God’s created order, describing it as a sign of human rebellion (Romans 1:24-27).

By exalting relationships that cannot result in new life, modern culture further advances an anti-life agenda.

This is not to say that individuals struggling with these issues are beyond grace—Christ redeems all who come to Him. However, an entire ideology that promotes sterility as equal to or better than God’s design is fundamentally at odds with His purposes.

Killing Babies and the Antichrist

Throughout Scripture, the deliberate killing of babies is consistently depicted as an act of evil, associated with Satanic influence and the opposition to God’s redemptive purposes. Whether carried out by wicked rulers or pagan societies, the destruction of innocent life is never presented as morally neutral—it is a hallmark of those who seek to thwart God’s will and undermine His kingdom.

Pharaoh and the Killing of Israelite Babies (Exodus 1:15-22)

One of the first major biblical accounts of mass infanticide occurs in Exodus 1, when Pharaoh, fearing the growing population of the Israelites, orders the execution of all newborn Hebrew boys:

“Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, ‘Every son that is born to the Hebrews you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.’” (Exodus 1:22)

Pharaoh’s decree was not just an act of political oppression but an attempt to eliminate the future deliverer of Israel. His actions reflect a deep opposition to God’s covenant with Abraham and His promise to bring salvation through the people of Israel. Yet, despite Pharaoh’s decree, God preserved Moses, who would go on to lead Israel to freedom—showing that no evil scheme can ultimately thwart God’s redemptive plan.

Herod and the Massacre of the Innocents (Matthew 2:16-18)

A similar atrocity appears in Matthew 2, where King Herod, in a desperate attempt to destroy the newborn Christ, orders the slaughter of all male children in Bethlehem under the age of two:

“Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under…” (Matthew 2:16)

Herod’s massacre echoes Pharaoh’s cruelty. Both rulers were driven by fear of losing power, and both sought to destroy a chosen deliverer—Moses in one case, Christ in the other. Yet, once again, God sovereignly protected the child, and Jesus would go on to fulfill His mission as the Savior of the world.

Child Sacrifice and Idolatry (Leviticus 18:21, Psalm 106:37-38)

In the Old Testament, the practice of child sacrifice was a defining feature of pagan worship, especially in the cult of Molech, a Canaanite deity. God strictly forbade Israel from participating in such abominations: “You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.” (Leviticus 18:21)

Yet, tragically, Israel at times fell into this horrific practice:

“They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.” (Psalm 106:37-38)

Child sacrifice was not just a moral evil; it was a direct rebellion against God. The shedding of innocent blood was an act of demonic worship, an affront to the Creator who had made human beings in His image.

Satan’s Hatred for the Seed of the Woman (Revelation 12:1-6)

The biblical pattern of infanticide being linked to demonic opposition to God’s plan reaches its climax in Revelation 12. Here, John describes a vision of a dragon (Satan) attempting to destroy the “male child” (Christ) who is destined to rule the nations: “And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it.” (Revelation 12:4)

This passage ties together the previous biblical accounts of Pharaoh and Herod, showing that behind these earthly rulers stood Satan himself. The enemy has always sought to destroy the deliverers and disrupt God’s redemptive plan.

The Spiritual Battle Over Life

From the beginning, Satan has sought to prevent God’s plan for a world teeming with life. Pharaoh sought to kill Israel’s future. Herod sought to kill the Messiah. False gods like Molech required the sacrifice of children. And today, cultural forces seek to sterilize, abort, and redefine God’s purposes for humanity.

Jesus, however, came to bring life: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)

God’s purposes have always been for creation to flourish, for humanity to multiply, and for families to thrive. Any worldview, policy, or movement that devalues life, prevents reproduction, or promotes lifelessness is participating in the same Satanic deception that Pharaoh, Herod, and the ancient idolaters embraced.

Anti-Life Ideologies as an Antichrist Agenda

Now, given that Christ came to bring life (John 10:10), any political or social agenda that is built on hindering, discouraging, or stopping the multiplication of human life is, by definition, aligned with the spirit of the Antichrist. The Antichrist, as described in Scripture, is a force that stands in direct opposition to Christ and His mission to bring salvation and life to the world.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, Paul describes the “man of lawlessness” as one who exalts himself against God and leads people into deception.

1 John 2:22 defines the Antichrist as one who denies the Father and the Son—and by extension, denies the very purpose for which Christ came: to restore and redeem life.

Any political system or worldview that celebrates death over life, sterility over fruitfulness, and destruction over creation aligns itself against God’s fundamental purpose for humanity. Just as Pharaoh and Herod sought to cut off life to stop God’s plan, so too do modern anti-life ideologies align themselves with that same opposition to God’s kingdom.

The spirit of the Antichrist is not just about power and deception—it is about standing against the very life-giving work of Christ. A culture that celebrates abortion, sterilization, and anti-reproductive ideologies is embracing an Antichrist system, because it sets itself against the fulfillment of God’s purposes in the world.

Choose Life

Moses’ words to Israel still echo today: “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life, that you and your offspring may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

As Christians, we must recognize the spiritual battle over life and stand firmly on the side of God’s purposes—upholding the sanctity of life, defending the family, and proclaiming Christ, who came to bring life abundantly.
